The long-standing “Battle of the Chrises” was reignited with a 40th anniversary salute sent by Chris Hemsworth.
The Thor actor gave his birthday wishes to Captain America, Chris Evans, on June 13, with an Instagram photo of Hemsworth smiling alongside another Chris: “Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt.
“Happy 40th Birthday Chris Evans, you’ll always be number 1 in my book,” Hemsworth wrote.
The photo appears to be a behind-the-scenes shot of the set of the movie “Thor: Love And Thunder”, in which Hemsworth, 37, and Pratt, 41, are both set to reprise their Marvel roles.
Hemsworth’s birthday message restores the long-simmering tension over Hollywood’s greatest Chris, between Hemsworth, Evans, Pratt and “Star Trek” actor Chris Pine.

The “Battle of the Chrises” took a new turn in January, when Pratt’s stepfather Arnold Schwarzenegger mistakenly called him Evans at an IG charity event hosted by Pratt.
“Hello Chris Evans, oh no Chris Evans, sorry I’m going to mess it up right off the bat. Chris Pratt,” Schwarzenegger said. “I didn’t look at the cue cards the right way. Sorry about that. I should know your name. Sure. My favorite son-in-law.
“I am your only son-in-law,” Pratt said.

The battle was apparently over when Hemsworth and Pratt gave the final say in 2018 when the duo sat down with USA TODAY.
“They need to stop bringing Chris Evans into the discussion,” Hemsworth said.

“I think at the end of the day it’s a 50/50 tie,” Pratt said. “I love America, but we already have a captain.”
“His name is Chris Evans and that drives me really crazy,” Hemsworth added.
