The fight was announced as Born rivals due to the two boxers’ fathers, Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn, maintaining a fierce rivalry throughout the 1990s, culminating in two fights – a TKO win for Eubank followed by a draw three years later.
Eubank Jr heads into Saturday night’s fight as the bookmakers’ favourite, with bet365 staking him at odds of 4/9.
The 33-year-old has held multiple championships in two weight classes and enters the fight with a 34-2 record.
The Briton’s two career defeats have come by Billy Joe Saunders and George Groves, the latter of which came four years ago in 2018.
‘Next Gen’ has since won his last six fights, most recently beating Liam Williams in Cardiff by unanimous decision in February earlier this year.
Benn, a seven-year-old Eubank junior, is currently undefeated heading into Saturday’s fight, with a 14-0 record.
Dubbed “The Destroyer,” Benn’s most recent fight came back in April against South African Chris van Heerden, winning by two-round TKO.
14 of Benn’s 21 wins have come by knockout, but it’s the underdog going into this weekend’s fight, offered at 7/4 with bet365.
