Chloe Madeley has revealed she returned to work just eight weeks after giving birth to her five-month-old daughter Bodhi because she needed the money.
The fitness fanatic, 35, who is the daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan has admitted she and husband James Haskell do not have a joint bank account.
She therefore had to shorten her maternity time more than she would have liked, in order to earn a living.
Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “James obviously earns a great income and he’s my partner and that’s fantastic, but we don’t have a joint account.” We’ve always had separate accounts and I think that’s kind of my pride.
Chloe confessed: “Next time, if I get pregnant again, I definitely won’t.” I’m gonna swallow my pride, I’m gonna jump on James’ account and take at least six months.

Elsewhere in the interview, Chloe spoke candidly about herself and her husband’s family dynamic, with James saying from the start that his career came first.
She explained: “James told me from the start, ‘I’m not going to slow down my career. He told me, “I’m really motivated by the work. I am financially motivated. a stay-at-home dad, because I’m not going to.” I was like, “Fair enough.’
She added that when James is home with her and the baby, he is “amazing” and she is “grateful”.
It comes after Chloe revealed her five-month-old baby had been rushed to hospital twice in a week over fears she may have contracted meningitis or sepsis.
She shared with her Instagram followers last month that Bodhi was back home after “five tough days” with what turned out to be the “type A flu virus”.
Chloe explained: ‘My little love has been really bad this week. Two trips to the hospital and lots of tears.
She continued: ‘His temperature went from 39.8° on Saturday morning to 34° on Sunday evening so I was extremely worried about meningitis and sepsis but blood tests show it’s just the flu virus type A.
“I’m just saying, wow did she get sick. Has anyone else seen their toddler’s temperature drop this low with the flu virus? I’m still a bit confused as to how/why this happened.

“I’m also amazed at how much of an impact this has had on my sleep and my workload, and how difficult the last 5 days have been.
“I just want to say to all the mothers who have to go on these kinds of trips and deal with these kinds of things on a regular basis, that I am in awe of you. That you are real life superheroes. You surprise me.
Chloe thanked the hospital workers who helped Bodhi: “And also to the doctors and nurses who work the cemetery shifts in pediatric A&E, thank you, you are the best of us.”
She has been in a relationship with James Haskell, 37, for eight years and married for more than four years – and has already spoken in depth about their active sex life.
Chloe admitted she hasn’t been in a sexual state of mind since welcoming daughter Bodhi in August, and neither has her husband.

She said on the Made by Mammas podcast: ‘Getting back into the rhythm of a good healthy sex life has been hard enough, and I can’t figure out if it’s me, if it’s him or if it’s we both. I’ll say it’s the latter – it’s the two of us.
“I just feel like I’m not really in a very sexual state of mind now. I hope it comes back. I don’t really think it is either. Hopefully it comes back to the normal.
Chloe, who is the daughter of Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, has spoken at length about her sex life with former 6ft3 flanker James in the past.
Former England rugby star James, who admits to having slept with 1,000 women in the past, has previously said he “approaches sex as a competitive sport”.
He previously told The Sun: “I end up taking everything very seriously. But I mean, you want to be good at sex, right? I’m not sure I’m very good at it, but I struggle to try to be better. There are a lot of people out there having a lot of bad sex. I want to improve myself.

Chloe also admitted the lockdown was having a detrimental effect on their once-frenzied sex life, due to work stress and sluggishness.
She told The Sun at the time: “Our sex life took a nosedive and completely dried up during lockdown and we had to work to get back on top – no pun intended.
“It surprised me, because James and I have always been really sexually compatible and I always assumed that those lulls would never happen to us.”
She noted that James had developed a love for sex in the afternoons after becoming too tired in the evenings, which didn’t sit well with him at all.
Chloe’s words come as she admitted she expected to divorce James after he booked a DJ gig on her due date and then walked out leaving her for eight consecutive nights that week.

Ah! Richard Madeley appeared every inch of the adored grandfather as his family enjoyed a Boxing Day lunch together
Personal trainer and TV presenter Chloe said she lay in bed the day she gave birth, hating her husband – but five months later, thankfully, he’s redeemed himself since birth.
When asked what unexpected thing surprised her about becoming a mother, she replied, “How incredibly destined James was for this. He’s just the best with her. I watch it with her and I’m so relieved.
“Because I’m not going to lie, during my third trimester James booked a DJ gig with Carl Cox. And I understand it’s Carl Cox, but he booked a DJ gig with Carl Cox on my due date – “but it’s my due date!”
“At that time – I can’t lie to you – I was lying in bed on the day of my date, while James was at Ned DJing with Carl Cox, thinking ‘well, I just chose the wrong person to have a baby with and it’s gonna be hell, we’re gonna be divorced within a year, i absolutely hate him, deh, deh, deh, deh, deh.
‘I was so pissed off with him, because I said less than 4% of babies in the UK are born on their due date, so he kept quoting it and booking after thing after thing.
“There was a period where I don’t think he was home for eight straight nights that week – in that deadline week.
‘I was just like ‘Oh my God, this is it, I’m going to jail’. I can not handle this.

Chloe recently shared, “I spent a lot of time not knowing if I wanted kids, and I think a lot of women don’t necessarily talk about it.”
