The ever-changing minds of young children easily learn things from their environment. So when 4-year-old Joshua Aguirre discovered martial arts classics, he was quick to imitate Bruce Lee and the movements of Chuck Norris. While his parents were in conflict over whether to make him a footballer or a baseball player, Joshua Aguirre found his way into martial arts.
In a bid to look like his on-screen heroes, Aguirre gradually introduced himself as the martial arts prodigy from the age of 11. Aguirre has won hundreds of medals in numerous national and international tournaments. Additionally, in taekwondo, he now ranks among the youngest fighters to ever receive a black belt.

At the age of 4.5, Joshua Aguirre began his journey with the pee-wee karate program. However, the young bud showed more focus and precision in his movements and techniques than expected of a kid his age. Being the little bundle of energy that he is, Aguirre practiced in his kitchen after returning from the academy. This forced his parents to let him train more often than other children his age.
The owner of Family Karate, Master David Gladwell, advised his parents against this idea. However, they explained that if the child was not allowed to train at the center more than twice a week, he would do so at home in the kitchen. It didn’t take long for little Aguirre to transition from the pee-wee Taekwondo program to a regular program.
