NFL Game Picks for Week 3: Steelers beat Browns; Buccaneers top Packers | NFL.com
Kansas City Chiefs @ Indianapolis Colts
The Colts had five QB pressures last week. In the entire game. Not only is Matt Ryan harassed and harassed on an instant basis, but Colts defensive coordinator Gus Bradley leads an easy-to-separate defense. Patrick Mahomes has plenty of practice to do that, including two 40-hammers on the Bradley Raiders last season in a year off for the Chiefs offense. This is not shaping up to be a slack year.
Bleacher Report Week 3 NFL Picks | Launderer’s report
Kansas City Chiefs (2-0) at Indianapolis Colts (0-1-1)
Our pundits couldn’t find a reason to take the Indianapolis Colts ATS, and the public went heavy on the Kansas City Chiefs with 67 percent betting on the road favorite.
How can you blame the majority here?
The Chiefs offense didn’t skip a beat without Tyreek Hill. Their passing offense ranks sixth and quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw for 595 yards, seven touchdowns and no interceptions with a 73% completion rate.
Bettors should compare Mahomes’ numbers to Colts quarterback Matt Ryan’s passing stats (547 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions with a 60% completion rate) to see why Kansas City is heading into this game as a what a big favourite.

Bold Predictions: Colts vs. Chiefs | Stampede Blue (Indianapolis Colts SB Nation site)
Colts defense will keep Kansas City offense under 30 points
These are “bold predictions”, aren’t they? Well let’s go really daring with this first. We know the kind of challenge Kansas City’s offense presents with quarterback Patrick Mahomes at the helm. The Indianapolis defense will have to prepare to defend its arsenal of weapons, which includes tight end Travis Kelce, wide receiver Mecole Hardman and others.
Over the past two games, the Colts defense has given up a combined 44 points to the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars, so stifling this searing Chiefs offense won’t be an easy task.
But I predict Indianapolis will find a way to keep one of the NFL’s most explosive offenses under 30 points on Sunday. While I don’t expect the Colts to just flip a switch and start playing like the same defense that forced the second-most turnovers in the league in 2021, their defense has multiple Pro Bowlers for a reason. and just might be able to make a few crucial plays to help slow the Chiefs offense.
Chiefs, Bills top Nick Wright’s NFL tiers entering Week 3 | Fox Sports
UNRESPECTED FAVOURITES: Kansas City Chiefs
Wright’s thoughts: “Never has a team had the best coach in football, the best quarterback in football, a revamped and vastly improved defense, and yet no one but the Committee has the guts to call them the best team in the league.”
Amazon takes NFL streaming victory with 13 million viewers in debut | Bloomberg United Kingdom
Amazon.com Inc.’s first regular season NFL broadcast drew 13 million viewers to its streaming service, delivering an online audience that rivals traditional television.
The total, reported by Nielsen, was up 47% from last season’s Week 2 Thursday Night Game, which aired only on the NFL Network, and that was more than the 12.6 million viewers that Amazon guarantees that advertisers will reach.
NFL Pick of Week 3 Against the Spread | The ring
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Indianapolis Colts (+5.5)
This line is terrifying. The Chiefs are 2-0. They have the best coach. They have the best quarterback. They come out of a mini bye, after playing last Thursday night. The Colts are 0-1-1. They look lifeless. They fell into deep holes in each of their first two games and were outscored 44-3 in the 1-3 quarters of those games. They have a bad left tackle situation and a bad wide receiver situation, and their defense is vanilla. How could they be just 5.5 point underdogs?
I don’t have a good answer. Maybe they get running back Jonathan Taylor and string together long drives. Maybe they’re playing with a sense of desperation. Maybe Waze is malfunctioning, the Chiefs’ bus gets lost on the way to the stadium, and they have to forfeit.
All I know is that when I see a “too good to be true” line, I take the other side.

Steelers score against Browns, takeaway: Nick Chubb and Amari Cooper propel Cleveland past Pittsburgh | CBS Sports
Why the Steelers lost
Heading into tonight, Trubisky didn’t have a game with more than 200 passing yards, but just did tonight, with a 20-for-32 stat line for 211 yards and no touchdowns.
Trubisky hasn’t shown enough this season, with some asking if he should be benched for rookie QB Kenny Pickett.
On offense, Diontae Johnson was the Steelers’ player of the night, with six receptions for 63 yards and a fumble recovery, but had a few key falls. The Steelers offense clearly still has a lot to do.
The defense couldn’t keep up with Chubb, one of the NFL’s top running backs, who recorded another 100-yard game to his resume.
The defense missed TJ Watt and historically doesn’t win without him. They are now 0-6 when Watt is on the sidelines.
Sean Payton says he would be interested in returning as NFL coach in 2023 for a ‘good situation’ | ESPN
“If the right situation arose, I would definitely be interested,” Payton said on the NewOrleans.Football podcast, which was posted on Wednesday. “And there is no utopia, if you will, when it comes to teams, but if I felt like it was the right situation, I would have an interest in that. Everything that being said, it could happen in a year, it could happen in two years.
Asked what he would look for in a coaching opportunity, Payton said the right ownership and the right front office are important.
“The most important element is the functional property [and] front office…because there’s a handful of teams that aren’t, and those teams, no matter what, they can win on Sunday but they’re struggling to win in the long run,” said he declared. “The opportunity to win consistently and the drive to build the right culture and all of those things.”

Source: Baltimore Ravens add veteran Jason Pierre-Paul to assist with the pass | ESPN
Many Ravens players were unaware of the news coming out of the practice field.
“Oh s—, he’s going to put a lot of pressure on us. Lots of sacks,” Oweh said. “That’s good for us.”
Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald deferred questions about signing Pierre-Paul to general manager Eric DeCosta, but said, “Obviously JPP has had a great career. He’s a hell of a player. »

Chiefs and QB to sneak, or not to sneak QB – that is the question
It’s easy to see why Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has chosen to stay away from the game for the past few years. But after the Chiefs’ 27-24 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday night — a game in which the Chiefs offense struggled more than once in short-range situations — questions arose as to whether we will never see Kansas City restart the game.
“Good, [Mahomes has] asked me about it,” Andy Reid joked to reporters on Wednesday. “You saw what we did.
Mahomes is a “competitive stingas offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy so eloquently put it. He wants the ball in his hands at those critical moments in a match. He gets it too. He understands his coach’s insistence on protecting him at all costs. But that doesn’t mean he’s given up on the idea, rather that he just has to choose his spots.
“I’m usually pretty good at quarterback,” Mahomes told reporters. “Even though he (Reid) says he doesn’t expect this to happen, there is a time and a place for it. I’ll keep that on his radar.
