After facing several production delays, GM is said to have cut orders for the 2021 Corvette C8 earlier than expected. That’s of course to make way for the 2022 model year, and Chevrolet is certainly thrilled with that. In fact, the automaker has already put together a teaser page for the third year of production of the first mid-engined Vette.
Better yet, the teaser page has more images of the three new colors added to the Corvette C8 palette. We reported these three new paint jobs in April. Here are more images of the Corvette in Amplify Orange, Hypersonic Gray Metallic and Caffeine.
It should be noted that Amplify Orange will replace Sebring Orange in the color range, while Hypersonic Gray Metallic will replace Shadow Gray Metallic. Caffeine, on the other hand, will replace the previous Zeus Bronze Metallic for that brown shade.
Another addition to the 2022 lineup is the Corvette Stingray IMSA GTLM Championship Edition, limited to 1,000 left-hand drive units, intended to celebrate the dominance of the C8.R race car during the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season. It will sell for $ 87,085 for the coupe and $ 94,085 for the convertible.
The new teaser page also confirms the arrival of a low-key spoiler option that we reported in April. It will be available for the 2022 Corvette Stingray, with or without the Z51 Performance Package, and could also include a front splitter according to the previous report.
We bet Chevrolet will provide more information in the coming weeks. The teaser page, which you can access via the source link below, also comes with a form for getting the latest updates on the 2022 Corvette.
