Following his surprise transfer to Arsenal, some Chelsea fans will be sad to see the departure of one of their star midfielders.
However, the Blues were quick to remind them how important he has been against the Gunners in the past.
Jorginho completed a £12m move to Arsenal on deadline day, signing a year-and-a-half contract with the club.
The Blues won 4-1 against the Gunners in Baku, with Jorginho playing the full 90 minutes of their emphatic victory.
In their farewell message to Jorginho, Chelsea made a slight dig at Arsenal when he said: “Many of Jorginho’s best performances have come in European competition.
“He played in Baku at the end of his first season when we beat Arsenal 4-1, and the midfielder played a pivotal role en route to Champions League glory in 2021, starting all of our games at elimination except one as we only conceded twice and shut out Manchester City in the Porto final.
Not only did he win the Champions League and the Europa League, but Jorginho also won the Super Cup and the Club World Cup at Chelsea.
He also helped guide Italy to Euro 2020 glory during his time in west London.

Only two of his 29 goals for the Blues haven’t come from the penalty spot, and one of them was actually scored at the Emirates in the 2019/20 season.
Jorginho has acquired plenty of silverware at Chelsea and could add to his honors at his new club this season.
He joins an Arsenal side who currently sit top of the Premier League table, five points clear of defending champions Manchester City.
The Blues were quick to sign his replacement, however, after completing the £106.8million signing of Enzo Fernandez from Benfica, a British transfer record.
Chelsea and Arsenal will then meet at the end of April, by which time Jorginho could be on the verge of winning the title with the Gunners.
