Chelsea are encouraged to make a move for Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha.
The Blues are in dire need of more firepower after clearing £90m Romelu Lukaku to return to Inter on loan.
Zaha is in the final year of his contract with Palace and there are no signs of him putting pen to paper on a new contract.
Sources close to the Ivory Coast international, who turns 30 in November, have hinted at Chelsea he would be keen on a move to London.
Zaha has played over 350 league games over two spells at Palace but knows this will likely be his last chance to join an elite club after his unfortunate stint at Manchester United.
No pass for Brighton
Brighton have decided not to sign Levi Colwill permanently after Chelsea insisted on inserting a buyout option into the deal.
The Seagulls were willing to pay up to £25m for 19-year-old Colwill but didn’t want to risk turning him into a Premier League star and then being forced to sell him back to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea believe Colwill, who was wanted by up to half a dozen clubs, has what it takes to be a future first-team regular for them, hence their reluctance to sell without the 40m buyout of pounds sterling.
Everton heartbreaker
Everton are pushing hard to sign Conor Coady, with Wolves reluctantly ready to allow their captain to leave.
Wolves fans have reacted in an uproar to suggestions that Coady, 29, is set to leave the club after seven years of loyal service.
But after losing his place in the team, Molineux’s hierarchy are sensitive to Coady’s desire to play regular Premier League football to help secure his place in England’s World Cup squad.
talkSPORT understands West Ham have been sounded out as a potential destination for Coady, but Everton manager Frank Lampard is the most keen on signing him.
Lampard believes Coady’s character and mentality would bring a major lift to the dressing room at Goodison Park.
Goodbye Bailly
Eric Bailly is set to become the second Manchester United defender of the summer to leave Old Trafford for Sevilla.
Bailly has been told he can leave United as new manager Erik ten Hag looks to downsize his squad.
The centre-back has been offered the chance to join United team-mate Alex Telles in Andalusia.
talkSPORT believe Bailly, whose United career has been ravaged by injury, is ready to move on to La Liga.
