American Jason Kokrak claimed his second PGA Tour victory of the season after a two-stroke victory in the Charles Schwab Challenge in Texas.
Jordan Spieth, who had led by a shot before the final round, missed 18th to finish second on 12 under par.
England’s Ian Poulter finished tied at four for third place, two strokes down, with a final lap of 68.
Kokrak, 35, beat his PGA Tour duck when he won the CJ Cup last October in his 233rd career start.
Spieth had a nightmare start to his final lap with three bogeys in his first four holes, while Kokrak was almost as fragile with two dropped shots on the first four.
But he took a one-stroke lead in the sixth with the second of two birdies, then regained it in the eighth before Spieth equalized on the turn.
Kokrak took the lead again with another birdie in the 11th and never let the lead slip away after that, Spieth finding the water in the 18th with his approach shot.
