Carl Hua joins Celsius with over a decade of rigorous engineering experience to lead Celsius’ next-generation DeFi research effort. Most recently, he led the research and development effort at RippleX, which is the business unit of Ripple’s open-source / developers platform. He also co-led the C ++ team (XRP Ledger) during his time at Ripple. Prior to Ripple, Carl was the CTO of Logos Network – a high performance, first-layer blockchain company. which was later acquired by Ripple.
Earlier in his career, he contributed next-generation real-time flight software for the Europa mission at JPL NASA. He has also led engineering teams developing flight software at Northrop Grumman. In his spare time, Carl advises start-ups to help them navigate the blockchain space. Most recently, Carl was an advisor to the physical assets firm NFT 4K.com. He holds a master’s degree in systems engineering from UCLA and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from UCR.
