Paramount Plus apparently had the worst possible start to Super Bowl LVIII.
Fans hoping to catch the “Big Game” between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers were left frustrated after the streaming service appeared to crash before kickoff.
Countless fans took to social media to see if anyone else was experiencing the same issues.
“Paramount Plus down for me. I looked to see if it was just me. It’s not just me. CBS has an unprecedented disaster brewing,” said NFL reporter Danny Heifetz on The Ringer website.
Others tweeted directly at the streamer to ask what was going on.
“You have an hour to fix things every time I watch football on your app it kicks me out and freezes your worst NFL streaming platform! It’s already doing it and it’s not even kickoff #NFL #SuperBowl #ParamountPlus”
It’s unclear what exactly caused the service to go out, which isn’t much consolation for fans hoping to watch the huge match.
Another fan said: “Paramount Plus is down and the game hasn’t even started! »
Fans experiencing issues streaming CBS Sports coverage on Paramount Plus received an on-screen message stating: “We are having difficulty playing this video. Please try again.”
