She rarely shares photos of her two young children on social media.
But Carrie Underwood made an exception Thursday to mark the second birthday of her son Jacob.
The 37-year-old country music superstar posted an adorable photo of her toddler from when he was still a newborn to mark the occasion.

Jacob appeared to be sleeping peacefully in the photo, which showed him wearing a hat and swaddled in a white patterned blanket.
“Jacob, we were expecting you. We prayed for you. We’ve come a long, hard road to someday hold you back, ” Carrie wrote.
“Today there are two of you. You are stupid and strong. You like to play, sing and follow your big brother. You are loved. You are darling. You are an incredible blessing from God. Happy birthday, sweet boy! she concludes.
Carrie’s husband Mike Fisher also had birthday love with his own photo of Jacob today.

He was wearing gray Batman pajamas and looked too cool for school with a pair of white sunglasses.
