There was a lot of action going on in the sports world this weekend, especially with the fireworks from the Six Nations, a big fight night at the UFC, as well as all the football in between.
Manchester United did double against Manchester City, Liverpool saw Bournemouth move closer to the Premier League title, while Scott Quigg was disappointed with his return to boxing.
Here, talkSPORT.com selects some of the highlights….
Carlos Tevez embraces Diego Maradona
Tevez guided Boca Juniors to a 34th high-flying title in Argentina by scoring the only goal of the match against Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata de Maradona.
This allowed Boca Juniors to finish two points ahead of their bitter rival River Plate, who started the day ahead of Tevez.
The Manchester United and Man City striker joined his childhood club in 2018 after a failure in China.
And the 72nd minute goal meant everything for Tevez as he jumped over the crowd’s fence to celebrate with the fans.
Explaining his pre-game kiss with Argentina and the legend of Boca Maradona, he told Ole: “I knew I had to kiss Diego, I was lucky that way … sometimes you have to look luck.”
Luke Ayling’s goal
Ayling’s spectacular volley started Leeds on three key points against Huddersfield.
The right-back smashed a center from Jack Harrison in the third minute, before Patrick Bamford sealed the points in the second period.
He saw Leeds overtake West Brom at the top of the championship standings after Slaven Bilic’s men drew Swansea.
Other results also marked Leeds, with promotion rivals Nottingham Forest and Fulham losing points.
Ian Wright’s grandson scores against Arsenal in youth match
D’Margio Wright-Phillips, on loan to Blackburn from Man City, scored a superb solo goal against his grandfather’s former club Arsenal in an FA Youth Cup game.
The 18-year-old is the son of former Chelsea, Man City and England winger Shaun.
And he celebrated with an equally brilliant somersault.
Great things are expected from Wright-Phillips Jr.
The Six Nations of England prevail over Wales
England’s resumption in the Six Nations showed no signs of slowing down with a 33-30 victory over Wales.
Eddie Jones’ men lost their opening game to France, but have since rebounded with wins over Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
But the match should not be forgotten for a bizarre incident that saw England’s support Joe Marler stroke Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones’s penis in the first period.
Jones told reporters after the game that he hoped World Rugby would review the footage of the incident.
Assisted by Jadon Sancho
It seems that not a week goes by without us talking about a goal or assistance from Sancho.
Well, he came off the bench to help Dortmund’s winning goal as Achraf Hakimi collected the pass from the English winger to score in the 71st minute to beat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-1.
On Wednesday, the return leg of the knockout stages of the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain could have been a reason why Sancho was only at the 66th minute.
Sancho, 19, has now scored 14 goals and recorded 15 assists in just 23 Bundesliga games this season.
Reaction of Joe Rogan and Daniel Cormier to Beneil Dariush defeating Drakkar Klose at UFC 248
Rogan and Cormier absolutely lost it when Beneil Dariush eliminated Drakkar Klose.
The two commentators have hilarious mouths and wide eyes as they lean back in their seats.
Rogan and Cormier just couldn’t contain their excitement.
Aaron Ramsey’s heroic for Juventus
Ramsey set Juventus on the road to an extremely important 2-0 victory against Inter Milan in the Serie A title race.
The 29-year-old, who has been linked to a summer outing from Turin, opened the game at 54 minutes before Paulo Dybala’s goal further stimulated Maurizio Sarri’s men.
The victory allowed Inter to overtake Lazio in first place as they seek to retain their title.
