We’re halfway through Sunday’s game at Arizona, where the visiting Rams took a 13-6 locker room lead at halftime. The Rams took a 13-0 lead on Matt Gay’s two field goals and Cooper Kupp’s 20-yard touchdown with four minutes left in the first quarter.
After throwing their first four drives, the Cardinals put up a 19-play drive on their fifth possession. The long drive had a disappointing ending, however, as the Rams defense managed to hold the Cardinals on a field goal after bogging down Arizona’s offense in the red zone. Arizona managed to put together another scoring streak that also ended with a Matt Prater field goal before the end of the first half. Kyler Murray threw for 169 yards in the first half, but the Cardinals’ running game struggled at just 14 yards on eight carries.
Aaron Donald made history in the first half, becoming the second defensive tackle in NFL history with 100 career sacks since individual sacks became an official stat in 1982.
