The Reds boss insists the Uruguayan will be questioned for his petulance but suggested it was an out-of-character outburst from Nunez.

“I haven’t said anything to him yet… when I saw it, of course I saw it was a red card,” Klopp told talkSPORT.

“We can’t change that and he can’t behave like that.

“He’s a good boy but he’s done something less well. We’ll talk to him and he’ll learn from it and we’ll keep going.

“He will learn a lot. He didn’t help his team as much as he helped his team play well before he was sent off,” Gary Neville said on Sky Sports.

Liverpool improved after Nunez was sacked, with Luis Diaz firing excellently past Vicente Guaita to level the scores.

However, they are likely to be without their big signing for at least the next three games, and talkSPORT’s Jason Cundy thinks it should be more.

“Nunez’s head kick, I personally think he’ll get more than three, I think he’ll end up with a bigger ban,” Cundy said on The Sports Bar.

“What he did tonight is a disgrace. Absolute disgrace.

“I think he should get a five-match ban. Violent behavior right there. Headbutting someone is assault, that’s assault. He headbutted someone.

“For me, it’s more than three games. What you saw him do could have broken Andersen’s nose.
