The “buy one, get one free” strategy is a smart marketing tactic to drive business, but it’s not often applied to used cars. We don’t think we’ve ever seen it used with cars of this caliber. But a Florida dealership is currently offering a free Rolls-Royce Wraith to anyone who buys the Bugatti Chiron it has in inventory. This seems like an interesting offer to us.
Naples Motorsports posted a “special offer” on Facebook earlier this week, announcing that it would be offering a free 2018 Wraith with the purchase of a 2021 Bugatti Chiron. The Chiron in question appears to be in very good condition, with a little over 2,000 miles on the odometer and finished in a lovely Granada and Glacier two-tone exterior.
Coincidentally, the Rolls-Royce has very similar specifications, with two-tone silver and brown exterior cladding. According to the Naples Motorsports website, it has covered more than 17,000 miles. Forgo the Chiron and you’ll pay an asking price of $239,995.
It is difficult to assess the value of a given Chiron, given the few examples available on the market at the time and the unique characteristics of each example. Naples Motorsport is asking $3.85 million for the Chiron here, making it the most expensive we can currently find in the United States. It also has fewer miles than those cars, which could explain the higher price.
The most likely scenario is that the price of the Rolls has already been factored into the Bugatti figure. Take away the price of the Rolls from the Bugatti, and you get about $3.6 million, which is more in line with other Chirons currently on the market.
So while this buy-one-get-one promotion may not be the screaming deal it looks like, we applaud this retailer for thinking outside the box to attract potential customers through the door.
