Bugatti launches a customizable wine bottle case with satellite technology

Bugatti has teamed up with Champagne Carbon to create a one-of-a-kind wine bottle case. The Custom Bottle is a custom-made case with “almost infinite” customization options, sculpted in the image of the brand’s top-of-the-range models. Customers can get a case that looks like the Chiron, Divo, Mistral, or Bolide.

“These luxurious and highly personalized bottles will be perfectly matched to each customer’s hyper sports car,” said Wiebke Ståhl, Managing Director of Bugatti International.

The case is fully customizable, as well as the bottle of wine and the wine inside. Customers will be able to designate not only the exterior color of the case, but also its interior. Several components are available in a variety of colors, just like the company’s cars, allowing people to create a crate of champagne as bespoke as their very own Bugatti.

The new Custom Bottle comes nearly a year after the automaker unveiled its Bouteille Noire, a 15-litre bottle of Champagne Carbon housed in a sculpted case inspired by the Bugatti La Voiture Noire. It took over 150 hours to build the case, which is made up of 314 individual sheets of carbon fiber. The new cases use the same artisanal process.

“It’s so interesting to see Alexandre Mea and Champagne Carbon being inspired by everything we do at Bugatti – be it the design, the technology or the materials we use,” added Ståhl.

The optional thermodynamic cooling cell, a technology found in orbiting satellites, takes the case a step further. It and 15 premium fans circulate cool air through the case, ensuring the vintage is kept at the optimum temperature.

Customers can customize the case, carbon fiber bottle and wine inside. The world’s first photoluminescent carbon fiber bottle is also available. The bottle pours up to 150 glasses of champagne.

The Chiron, Divo, Bolide and Mistral are superb machines now immortalized in the form of wine bottle cases. Automakers like Bugatti have the pedigree to offer such unique branded products. A thermodynamically cooled custom wine bottle case isn’t something you see everyday from a company that builds cars.
