Why chefs can cover

Kansas City is 10-4 ATS against record winning teams, and Mahomes and Co. is scoring nearly 30 points per game. He leads the best offense in the league and faces a defense that ranks 22nd against the pass. The 2018 MVP was second in the league in passing yards (4,740) and fourth in touchdowns (38), and he’s got talent all around him. All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce was second in the league with 1,416 yards and scored 11 times.

Mahomes also has a strong relationship with fast wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who has scored 15 touchdowns and averaged 14.7 yards per catch. The starters allow just 22.6 points per game (10th in the NFL) and the Chiefs have 22 points to take. Safety Tyrann Mathieu made six of the team’s 16 interceptions and the Browns spat it 17 times.

Why the Browns can cover

The Chiefs haven’t gained more than six points since Week 8, and the Browns should be able to exploit a leaky trailing defense. Cleveland has averaged 160.2 rushing yards in 14 games with Nick Chubb active this season, and the Chiefs are 22nd overall against the rush (122.1), the worst among playoff teams. Chubb totaled 145 yards against Pittsburgh and averaged 5.6 yards per carry in the regular season. Kareem Hunt ran for 48 yards on just eight carries last week.

The underdog is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings between the teams, and quarterback Baker Mayfield has rebounded from his second crisis. He threw for 263 yards and three touchdowns against Pittsburgh after throwing for 3,563 yards and 26 touchdowns, with just eight interceptions, during the regular season.

Receiver Jarvis Landry (840 yards) has star potential, while tight end Austin Hooper is a reliable option, catching 46 passes and scoring four touchdowns.

How to make Browns vs Chiefs picks

SportsLine’s model is based on the total, with the simulations showing teams combining for 54 points. The model also says that one side of the gap has all the value. You can only see which side in the back.

So who wins the Chiefs over the Browns in the 2021 NFL playoffs? And which side of the spread has all the value? Visit SportsLine now to find out which side of the Chiefs vs Browns gap you need to jump on Sunday, all from the pattern on a roll of 120-78, and find out.
