Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham say their wedding vision came from Iman and David Bowie

They tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in Palm Beach last month, the affair reportedly costing around $3.5million.

And after the lavish nuptials, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz revealed their inspiration for the day came from David Bowie’s 1992 wedding to model Iman.

Admitting that her husband’s parents, David and Victoria Beckham, had their own “iconic” wedding, Nicola explained that it didn’t take first place for their inspiration.

During a post-wedding interview with Vogue, Nicola opened up about the Italian day between late rock legend David and his model wife, citing it as their vision.

Noting David and Victoria’s 1999 wedding at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland, which featured four-month-old Brooklyn and her parents in matching gold wedding outfits, the couple were asked if that was the inspiration for their own day.

While admitting it was an “amazing” wedding, Nicola shared that it wasn’t the direction she and Brooklyn wanted to go.

She told the publication: ‘Their wedding was amazing and these photos are iconic, but the wedding that inspired us the most was Iman and David Bowie’s.

And it’s not hard to see in the snaps, with the connection between the two marriages being very clear through the images.

Nicola wore arm-length gloves that were similar to those Iman wore at her 1992 wedding, and while sporting differently cut necklines – the resemblance between the dresses was striking.

Donning a tail suit similar to David’s in 1992, Brooklyn apparently also channeled the musician with his Dior ensemble.

Nicola was also inspired by another icon, noting that her hair and makeup should echo that of 90s model Claudia Schiffer.

While they opted for a different look than Victoria and David did at the time, the couple sported a matching ensemble for the first night of their weekend wedding celebrations.

Nicola shared with Vogue that they wore matching denim Dior ensembles – a look similar to what David and Victoria often wore in the 90s.
