Britney Spears doesn’t think her situation would have happened to another pop star and peer: Jennifer Lopez. In the same post, Spears also hinted that she was done with the entertainment business, despite fans’ hopes that she would record new music after her conservatorship ended.
“I would love to see someone tell Jennifer Lopez to sit 8 hours a day 7 days a week…no car, her own 5 year old security telling me at my door that I can’t walk outside for 4 months…no door for privacy…and watched me change naked and take a shower…” Spears wrote in a note posted to her Instagram grid on Sunday, September 25, which has since been removed.
“I would love to see a management team tell Jennifer Lopez to get through what I went through…what do you think she would do…her family would NEVER allow that,” he said. -she writes.
In the same post, Spears said she no longer has any interest in being in the entertainment business. “You say do what you want to do now…Really 14 years later after being humiliated…it’s WAY too late for that…again I’d rather stay home and shit in my fucking pool than join the entertainment business… the truth is a fucking bitch,” she wrote.
Spears’ first step into the music business after being released from his conservatorship last year was a collaboration with Elton John titled “Hold Me Closer.” Since Britney Spears broke free from the 13-year guardianship that gave her father, Jamie Spears, control of her finances, career and lifestyle, the singer has been brutally honest about her family on social media. In August, Spears posted and deleted a 22-minute video on YouTube in which she went into more detail about the trauma.
“Honestly, I was like a robot,” Britney Spears said in the video. “I didn’t give a fuck anymore because I couldn’t go where I wanted to go, I couldn’t have the nannies I wanted to have, I couldn’t have any money, and it was just demoralizing So I was kinda into this conspiracy of people claiming you and treating you like a superstar, yet they treated me like nothing.
