Bill Nighy, Colin Farrell, Paul Mescal and Andrea Riseborough lead UK and Irish Oscar nominees as full list is revealed
The British and Irish stars who received a nod ahead of the 95th Academy Awards which will air later this year have been revealed.
Colin Farrell, Paul Mescal, Bill Nighy and Andrea Riseborough all received nominations in the Best Actor and Actress categories during the Live Nominations.
The nominations were announced by Riz Ahmed and Allison Williams ahead of the 95th Academy Awards, which will take place on March 12.

Riz won the 2022 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film for The Long Goodbye, which he co-wrote, produced and starred in.
Meanwhile, Allison recently starred in and executive produced sci-fi horror M3GAN, which is already slated for a sequel.
The nomination presentation took place at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater and was broadcast live on Good Morning America and ABC News Live.
For those around the world, they were able to tune in to stream Oscar.com and Oscar.org, as well as the Academy’s social media.
This year, the Oscars will be hosted by chat show host Jimmy Kimmel at Ovation Hollywood’s iconic Dolby Theater.
This will be Jimmy’s third outing as host of the Oscars, having hosted the Oscars in 2017 and 2018.
Oscar buzz surrounded top contenders for Best Picture, who were ahead of winks The Banshees of Inisherin, Elvis, Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Fabelmans, Tár and ‘Top Gun: Maverick.
