NRLW star Julia Robinson has shared her grief after being tormented by trolls during her Dally M Awards appearance last month.
The Brisbane Broncos star, 24, showed off her athletic physique in a yellow dress with strappy cutouts on rugby league night but received cruel taunts online after she shared a picture of her outfit on Instagram.
“It hurts because I feel like a nice person and I know I would never say anything bad to anyone else. It hurts because nobody likes being called mean names or things,’ Robinson told NCA NewsWire on Thursday.

“It’s sad to know that this still happens in today’s society, where strong women have to be criticized and some people find it horrible to see a girl with muscles.”
The three-time NRLW premier player insisted women with athletic builds should be praised for their dedication to health and fitness.
Robinson noted that this incident demonstrates how important it is to discuss the impact of trolling on mental health.

“It’s sad to know that this still happens in today’s society, where strong women have to be criticized and some people find it horrible to see a girl with muscles,” she said.
“You can’t just troll people on social media because you don’t know what’s going on in their lives,” she said.
The athlete, however, vowed not to give in to haters, saying: “I am proud of myself and I will never change for anyone.”
Robinson previously attacked Keyboard Warriors in August after being abused for her ripped physique on social media.

“You can’t just hang around people on social media because you don’t know what’s going on in their life,” she said.
It didn’t seem to shake her, but Robinson was determined to shout the insults.
“I usually never read comments on social media, or let them affect me; however, I just wanted to say that no one should be ashamed or embarrassed for having muscles,” Robinson wrote on her story. Instagram.
“It shows dedication and hard work. I like my muscles.
Her response was below a screenshot of some of the worst comments she’s received, including “he’s going to be a good player” and “he’s a rig”.
