A bride’s wedding was ruined when she failed to brief guests on her policy ahead of the ceremony.
His brother explained the situation on the Reddit “Am I the A ******” forum. The bride did not allow children at her first marriage. When she married a second time, she assumed all guests would remember the politics of her first ceremony. But on the wedding day, tons of kids showed up with their parents.

“My sister got married a second time,” the Reddit poster commented. “She doesn’t really like children. So, when planning her wedding, she decided it would be childless. One thing about my sister is that she’s really good at keeping just about everyone in her life. Most of the people invited are people she has known from college and family. Most of these people also went to her first marriage, so she assumed they knew the marriage, just like the first, would be childless.
But the bride’s guess exploded in her face on the wedding day.
“Fast-forward to the wedding and she’s invited around 500 people,” the Reddit poster wrote. “She noticed that most people bring their children. Every time someone showed up she would say something like, “Sorry, but kids are not allowed to participate in this wedding.” Then one of the following three things would happen:

“1. Both parents leave and didn’t bother to come back. 2. One parent stayed and the other didn’t bother to come back. 3. The parents dropped off the children and came back.
“The first two options happened much more than the third. In the end, she finished [up] planning a wedding for 500 people but only 90 to 100 were actually there. She was visibly upset during the wedding. The next day, she even cried. I tried to comfort her by telling her that maybe she should have warned people ahead of time. Turns out it wasn’t the right decision because she’s been ignoring me for days now.
Reddit posters believed the debacle was entirely the bride’s fault.
“This is insane,” wrote one user.
“Assuming people remember your previous marriage is ridiculous,” said another.
“She was an idiot and left out the most important information for her participation in the wedding,” one user commented.
