Richarlison left the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on crutches and in tears with his World Cup dream threatened after an injury against former club Everton.
The Spurs striker had started the 2-0 win but was sent off minutes into the second half with what looked like a calf problem.

And after the game, Richarlison was on crutches and in an emotional mood, clearly in tears, while being interviewed by ESPN Brasil about his chances of taking part in next month’s tournament.
He told them: “It’s a bit hard to say because it’s close to realizing my dream. [the World Cup]. I have suffered an injury similar to this before but I hope it can heal as soon as possible.
“Last time I was at Everton I was out of action for about two months.
“I know it’s hard to talk right now, but let’s see, I’ll recover. I have a CT scan on Monday but even walking hurts. I have to stay positive if I want to go to Qatar.
“Everything is so close, there is about a month left, and we are preparing, working every day so that nothing serious can happen. Unfortunately, today I had this calf injury, but now it’s just a question of waiting, of doing the treatment every day so that I can recover as quickly as possible.
Brazil are due to start their group stage campaign on November 24 against Serbia, and according to Antonio Conte, the striker will definitely miss his next game as his injury is set to be assessed on Monday.

The north London side will face a busy schedule over the next month with eight matches to play over the next four weeks.
With Dejan Kulusevski currently ruled out with injury as well, it means Spurs could be light on options in the attacking third during a crucial time of the season, in both the Premier League and Champions League.
