High-speed train was one of this summer’s non-franchise delights, a violent action-comedy best described as John Wick Passing by looney tunes. With his theatrical tour now firmly behind him, the director’s cinematic pain train Deadpool 2 is about to reach its next step: video on demand.
A crazy action movie about a semi-retired assassin named Ladybug (Brad Pitt) doing his best to get a suitcase out of a train full of other assassins who want the same thing, High-speed train is the kind of film that one imagines as fun to make as on-screen comedy. A behind-the-scenes look at the film, which arrives with the release of the home video, confirms this. As a little teaser, Polygon can exclusively share a brief blooper reel, which primarily features two of the film’s best characters, the duo Tangerine (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Lemon (Brian Tyree Henry), performing when they should do stuff like hurt people.
High-speed train is available now on VOD and arrives on DVD, Blu-ray and Ultra HD on October 18th.
