Brad Pitt burst into the world of beauty.
The actor, who turned heads earlier this year when he rocked a maroon skirt at the ‘Bullet Train’ premiere in Berlin, has launched a brand new skincare line in partnership with the famous winegrowers of Château Beaucastel from the Perrin family.
The collection, called Le Domaine Skincare, includes an exciting range of products that are all vegan, gender-neutral and designed to slow the signs of aging.
“Derived from science and terroir to become one with nature and your own nature. This is harmony. This is respect. This is Le Domaine,” the company said in a photo presenting new products.
The Domaine Skincare offers four flagship products: a serum, a cream, a fluid cream and a cleansing emulsion, all presented in sustainable packaging thanks to the use of recyclable glass bottles and jars, and reusable caps made of carved oak. the falls of the wine barrels from the vineyard.
“It’s about mimicking the organic cycles of nature, its pristine beauty,” Pitt said in a statement about the new launch. “In nature, there is no notion of waste. Each thing thrown away becomes food for another. This is circularity for Le Domaine Skincare.”
Prices for the brand’s products range from $80 to $385 and are infused with two active ingredients GSM10 and ProGR3, both of which have been filed for patents. The ingredients were created in close collaboration with Pierre-Louis Teissedre, professor of oenology at the University of Bordeaux, and Nicolas Lévy, clinician and professor of human and medical genetics.
GSM10 is an active compound with maximized antioxidant powers while ProGR3 is a cosmetic active compound with the ability to slow the effects of human and skin aging, according to the brand’s website.
“From regenerative viticulture on our virgin land at Château de Beaucastel came the idea of approaching scientists to find out what we could do with all the organic matter that we no longer used, once the grapes in a hurry,” the Perrin family said in a statement. “The idea germinated thanks to improbable encounters and the realization that our project could go much further thanks to synergies never explored before in the world of beauty.”
Pitt told Vogue how his new skincare brand came about, sharing that it wasn’t always on his agenda. “I get sent stuff all the time and… ugh. Same goes for me,” he said. “But last year we tested Le Domaine and I was really surprised by the results, and for me it was worth moving forward.”
Later, he paid tribute to his makeup artist friend for his own skincare routine. “I was brought into shape by my dear makeup artist friend – we started together 30 years ago – Jean Black,” he said. “She’s pretty special. So every time we’re on a movie she keeps me healthy and then she’s like ‘try this’ and ‘try that’.”
Pitt joins a growing list of celebrities who have launched their own skincare and makeup lines, including Jennifer Lopez, Harry Styles, Lady Gaga and more.
