Two of them played Angelina Jolieand the most recent of 2018 featured Alicia Vikander. While the recent movie wasn’t exactly a hit, that doesn’t mean the chances of another tomb Raider movie have disappeared. There is also the possibility of a series in the middle of a new video game.
Amazon Studios and DJ2 Entertainment work together to develop a trifecta of a new tomb Raider launch. The franchise reboot will feature a new video game, movie, and TV series. The project was announced recently, so there are no details on the creators involved or who will play the central character of Lara Croft in the new movie and the new series. The Last of Us renewed for season 2
HBOthe biggest of this year is undeniably “The last of us“, a zombie apocalypse series based on the hit video game of the same title. The series, created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmanstars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Elijah, an unlikely duo who may have found a cure for the global virus that has turned mankind into monsters. The show debuted to incredibly high ratings for HBO Max, with more than 22 million views in just twelve days. So it was only a matter of time before a second season was announced.
As the first season is not over yet, season two is already approved. Based on how the first season unfolded, it’s likely that the second season will follow the events of the second game, “The Last of Us Part II”. It all depends on how long it will take to develop the following season, considering the time between the two games. Either way, there’s plenty of material to keep the show going, which quickly makes “The last of us” HBOis the most popular and commented film to date.

Netflix releases two completed films
Warner Bros. is one of many studios deciding not to release films that have already been completed. They previously decided to scrap the full movies for bat girl and Scoob 2. Some hoped these movies might find a new home if they were sold to another streaming service like netflix. However, netflix is no longer a great sanctuary for movies.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix was developing two original films titled “The Legacy” and “Housewife”, but has yet to release those movies on the streaming app, although both have been completed. Legacy is a thriller film directed by Alejandro Brugues about a rich man who fears someone will try to kill him and uses his spoiled children to defend him with the threat of having no inheritance. “Housewife” is a sci-fi horror film about a smart home where artificial intelligence becomes deadly.
It’s possible that these films will end up on another streaming service as they were originally shelved to cut production costs. netflix has lost subscribers and is restructuring in recent times, where many projects have been deleted, including ongoing shows (“Dead End: Paranormal Park”) and those initially in development (“Bone”). It remains to be seen whether netflix will attempt to recoup its losses by selling these films to a distributor.
HBO Max cancels Doom Patrol and Titans
The fallout from the Warner Bros/Discovery the merger continues while HBO Max consider what to cut from their library, new and old. Unfortunately, two DC Comics series are the latest entries on the chopping block. Despite several seasons, Doom Patrol and Titans are coming to an end with their current seasons.
These series were known to be more mature and experimental with DC Comics traditions. Doom Patrol, in particular, was notable for its mismatched set and frankness with the progressive themes of mental health, sexuality, discrimination, and more. It was also cheerfully vulgar, given the wild writing.
Despite these cancellations, HBO Max has a little more adult DC Comics series in preparation. After its successful first season last year, “Peacemaker” is still heading for a second season. harley quinnthe adult animated series based on the Batman villain, is in production for its fourth season with a Valentine’s Day special to air soon.
