The NBA playoffs were heating up, MLB opening day had just passed and the Alaska Fighting Championship 139 was on the books on the morning of April 19, 2018. It seems like a strange combination, but Lester’s distracting performance. helped achieve this.
David Booker and Elijah Terrell were first on the UFC FIGHT PASS show and like most other fights on the card, Booker and Terrell went the distance, leaving the fight to the judges. Fans in the arena, as well as online, waited for Lester to deliver the results like he has a million times before.

“Normally I’m really in all fights,” Lester said. “I watch, I comment on the different movements and things that are going on and it happened that night, we had a little boy who I think was three at the time. He wasn’t feeling well, so I was on the phone with my wife during this whole fight wondering when I could come home and take some meds home and that sort of thing. I wasn’t paying attention to the fight at all.
After receiving a nudge indicating the fight was over and rushing into the cage, Lester remembers hearing “Terrell” yell at him. Without thinking too much, he turned on the mic and with Elijah Terrell’s name at the forefront of his mind, scores were the only thing Lester focused on.
