In 2022, Afro Unicorn hit the shelves of 3,800 Walmart stores in the United States and Puerto Rico with party supplies and apparel. For the holidays, Afro Unicorn has started a new gift-giving tradition with its Magic Afro Unicorn Gift Set, encouraging acts of kindness. The conscious brand has also launched a Original EP featuring the Grammy Award winner Anthony HamiltonLara D, Brooklyn Marie, and executive produced by the producer Askia Fountain, The general manager of Afro Unicorn.
2023 promises to be a Jordanian year for Afro Unicorn with a major presence in seven of the world’s largest retail stores, including Walmart, Target, HomeGoods, Kohls, JCPenney, Amazonand NovaKids. Afro Unicorn will also launch at Walmart Canada this February. The brand will soar onto the scene with more than 25 categories, from apparel and accessories to toys, puzzles, books, bedding, bandages, backpacks, collectibles, and more. With over 45 licensed partners worldwide, Afro Unicorn is the “blueprint” to empower entrepreneurs and inspire them to enter the licensing space.

Building the brand from scratch, Afro Unicorn started in the e-commerce industry in 2019. At the time, it was an organic and popular brand, and Ms. Showers pressed shirts and sold them through her commerce store electronics, adding logos to T-shirts and bags at the request of its customers. Afro Unicorn burst onto the scene as a brand in August 2021 after a video of a little girl wearing an Afro Unicorn shirt went viral. Then Ms. Showers received an email from Walmart with the title “Afro Unicorn x Walmart Collaboration”, marking her debut with Walmart as one of the first black women to enter the party supplies/celebration with Afro category. Unicorn getting prime shelf placement next to Marvel characters and Disney princesses.
Kids will soon be able to live and play in an Afro Unicorn world with plush toys, collectibles, games, puzzles, books, playsets, ride-on toys, outdoor games and live entertainment in preparation for. A new line of origin Afro Unicorn® books under the Random house books for young readers imprint will be released widely in fall 2023 with three Afro Unicorn characters by name in all Afro Unicorn® some products.
