Billy Eichner denounces Twitter trolls for ‘Bros’ reviews, promises to tweet about ‘Every Day’ movie to ‘pit’ them – Deadline

Billy Eichner is on the defensive after the disappointing results of Brothers At the box office. The actor applauds Twitter trolls who use romantic comedy performance in theaters to attack the quality of his work.

“The box office, as we all know, has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of a movie. And tweeting about a movie you haven’t seen makes no sense. is just Twitter bulls**t Majority of people who see Brothers I really love it! Go take a look and see for yourself! he tweeted.

In a second tweet, Eichner promised to “keep tweeting about Brothers every day for next year just to antagonize” all haters.

“GO BROTHERS!!! I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!” he added.

Eichner’s tweet comes a day after he took to Twitter to share that he went to a screening of a film to gauge audience interest and was happy to see the reaction.

“Last night I snuck in and sat in the back of a sold out theater to play Brothers with garlic tweeted. “The audience roared with laughter from start to finish, burst into applause at the end, and some wiped away tears as they walked out. Really. I’m VERY proud of this movie.

The Billy in the street The star acknowledged that the film was not performing at the box office as expected and was lower than the studio had originally estimated.

“Even with rave reviews, excellent Rotten Tomatoes scores, an A CinemaScore, etc., straight guys, especially in some parts of the country, just haven’t shown up for Brothers. And it’s disappointing but that’s the way it is,” he added.

At the end of his tweet, he encouraged “everyone who IS NOT a homophobic weirdo” to watch Brothers in cinemas.
