It’s been a great year for Billie Eilish. The pop star Happier than ever debuted at # 1 on the Billboard charts, and she also has two ongoing Jordan Brand collaborations: an icy volt green Air Jordan 1 KO and a tonal, dull version of the Air Jordan 15. The Air Jordan 15 is the proverbial “black sheep” of the Air Jordan line – Tinker Hatfield even identified it as his worst Air Jordan design, stating “I just don’t think I brought this baby home well” – but Eilish just might have the knock-against-the-grain nature and star power to make the AJ 15 cool.
Its design is simple and tone-on-tone, using an unassuming beige hue to showcase the 15’s unique construction. Tight wrinkles on the rubberized heel provide an interesting contrast to the wider ridges in the forefoot and midfoot. of the foot, and “23 – 6 – 15” also appears on the heel, a nod to Michael Jordan’s jersey number, the NBA championships and the 15th model.
The signature flair is mostly relegated to the Air Jordan 15’s roomy tongue, which provides Eilish’s Bloshsh logo facing upward on the front. Eilish’s full name is also spelled on the insoles. Jumpman logos are placed on the side heel and collar for a branding touch, while at the bottom, tonal midsoles and outsoles complete the look.
The official release date for the Billie Eilish x Air Jordan 15 has yet to be announced, but it should hit retailers in the coming weeks.
