Billie eilish is the youngest music superstar, but she just offered her fans a video of her even younger self being a musical prodigy.
During an appearance on Monday The Late Late Show with James Corden, the 17-year-old Grammy nominee had the chance to spend time with one of her idols …Alicia Keys, who was the guest host of the show. The two singers were able to talk about Keys’ cover of “Ocean Eyes”, which, according to Eilish, absolutely rocked her because she’s been a fan for so long. Then she shared a surprise with the host of the Grammys 2020.
“You don’t even know,” teased Eilish. “A little surprise. I don’t know if they prepared this video, but a year before the release of” Ocean Eyes “- that’s what you covered, which is crazy – I did a cover of “Fallin” with talent show at 12. “
Excited AF and completely surprised, Keys then played the video. And of course, 12-year-old Eilish appeared on the screen in a personal video.
In the short clip, the “Bad Guy” singer has blonde hair and an American flag T-shirt as she sits and sings at the piano. Naturally, she looks amazing as her young person points out, “I keep falling in love with you / Sometimes I love you, sometimes you make me blue.”
It’s a different sound from the star, who made her mark with her intentionally soft voice.
The cover has received Keys’ seal of approval. Then they moved on to talk about the historic Grammy and Eilish appointments. (She is the youngest artist in history to be nominated in any major category in a year.)
“It’s surreal,” said the young musician about her first appointments.
She couldn’t help but continue to spring from Keys’ musical success when she said, “I mean, you! Man, when she went to the Grammys, she won, like, a billion. First time. First time. don’t think it’ll be as good for me as it will be for you, but i’m excited, i’m nervous. I have all the emotions. “
Eilish’s dreams came true even more when, later in the interview, she and Keys performed a duet “Ocean Eyes”. We hope this dynamic duo will team up for something at the Grammys on January 5!
