Eighteen-year-old American singer and songwriter Billie Eilish faced a subtle but very strong response to the online vitriolic she faced during the week by sharing a video on normalizing real bodies and also sharing a photo of herself.
Earlier this week, the singer was body shamed by a grown man who ridiculed a photo of her uploaded to the Twitter account, which was clicked by a paparazzi. In this photo, the Ocean Eye singer wore a form-fitting tank top with shorts, but she typically wears oversized clothing and is known for these looks. The man wrote that over the course of ten months Billie Eilish developed the body of a mid-thirties winemaking mom.
Many fans of the singer responded to this hateful comment in defense of her and brushed off the troll’s remark.
