Billie Eilish takes it back to simpler times and shared an optical illusion with social media followers who referenced “The Dress.” It’s been five years since the internet came together for the biggest fashion debate of our time, and Billie is ready to bring it back, style 2020.
Participating in an Instagram Q&A with followers on her story, Billie was asked to take the dress. Instead of choosing one of two color sets – blue and black, or white and gold – she argued that the dress was actually blue and gold, promising that she was ready to prove it.
She then shared her own moment of fashion optical illusions, telling her fans that years ago she wore a pair of Nike shoes her father thought were pink and white, claiming they were in fact. green and white.
But after showing the shoes to fans, Billie was shocked to find that many actually agreed with her father. Taking a Google Image screenshot of the actual shoes, which are from the Nike Air More Uptempo line, Billie revealed that the shoes were indeed mint and white. Mind blown.
Billie continued to claim the shoes weren’t pink, pointing out additional images and noting that she previously wore the shoes for photoshoots with her signature green clothes. She then ended the question-and-answer session with fans about their “nonsense,” and the great shoe debate remained unfinished.
As for Twitter followers, some were still undecided on the shadow, writing, “Every time I watch Billie Eilish’s story, these shoes are a different color.” and “Billie Eilish arguing over the color of her shoes is one of the highlights of my day.” Some were left incredibly confused, wonder, “Where’s the green supposed to be?” and “Literally my eyes played games with @billieeilish’s shoes on Insta. I see pink and then I see mint. I don’t understand how my eyes are constantly changing the colors of the shoes ”
