American music superstar Billie Eilish said she “hated every second” of the creation of her debut album.
The 19-year-old singing sensation saw early success with her debut album, When we all fall asleep where do we go? and the artist has since been on the upward curve of popularity. But, in making the album, she hated it.
“I hated every second,” she said in an interview with Rolling Stone. “I hated writing. I hated recording. I literally hated him. I would have done anything else. I remember thinking that there was no way I could do another album after this one. Absolutely not.”
Several factors including a hectic job with stressful deadlines, lingering label ratings, and their constant reunions may have contributed to Billie Eilish’s hatred. But, she said she took a very different approach for her next project, Happier than ever.
Now she works with herself and her brother as a center. She clarified: “No one has a say anymore. It’s literally me and Finneas and no one else.
