Following her sets at Reading and Leeds Festivals this weekend, Billie Eilish performed an intimate show at London’s Electric Ballroom this evening (August 29). In the 1,500-capacity venue, she invited surprise guests Boygenius for “When the Party’s Over” and Labrinth for “Never Felt So Alone.” Before introducing the trio, Eilish reportedly told the crowd to turn down their phones so she could see their faces while she introduced the next guest. “I’m really in love with all three of them,” she said after Boygenius left the stage. While his latest album, Happier than ever, released in 2021, Eilish has been staying busy with new music this year. She hopped in the studio to join Labrinth on the aforementioned “Never Felt So Alone” and made a surprise appearance during his set at Coachella for her live debut. She also revealed “What Was I Made For?” », his contribution to barbie movie soundtrack. The latter arrived with a clip in which Eilish attempts to dress a lookalike Barbie doll in miniature high-fashion outfits while a fan constantly blows up everything on the table.
Boygenius released his first album, The record, in March. The trio will embark on an extensive fall tour of Europe and North America, including a headlining show at Madison Square Garden in October.
