Billie Eilish Opens Up About ‘Really Scary Things’ That Happened in Her Personal Life – PennLive

When it comes to fame, all that glitters isn’t gold.

It seems that singer Billie Eilish learned this the hard way.

In a cover story for Rolling Stone published on April 24, the Grammy winner got real and talked about the line between her fame and her private life.

For the “What Was I Made For” singer, having a very protective dog and security guards isn’t enough to deal with overwhelming fanfare.

“It’s definitely not in the job description,” the “Ocean Eyes” singer told Rolling Stone.

“Some really scary things have happened in my personal life and my safety has been compromised multiple times, and that’s a big part of my life. It’s something I have to live with. But I don’t know, it really made me angry about my life, when you can’t even be in your own house.

Although the singer has been very vague about these experiences, she has spoken about something that helps her.

It’s an offbeat subject that the star is not afraid to tackle.

“Basically, I talk about sex whenever I can,” the star told the outlet. “It’s literally my favorite subject. My experience as a woman is that it’s seen in such a strange way. People are so uncomfortable talking about it and are weird when women are very comfortable in their sexuality and outgoing. I think it’s such a frowned upon thing to talk about, and I think that should change.

“Did you ask me what I do to unwind? That [expletive] can really, really save you sometimes, just say it. To be honest, I couldn’t recommend it more,” Eilish said.

Talk about being completely honest.

The interview took place in February, just after she won song of the year for “What Was I Made For?” » at the Grammys. Shortly after, she was shooting the cover art for her third album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” which will be released on May 17.
