Billie Eilish showed his support by taking a knee at the George Floyd protests in Los Angeles.

Protests broke out in all 50 states and around the world when the black man Floyd died after white police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds.

The Bad Guy singer voiced support for the justice demand, previously criticizing people who use the term All Lives Matter in response to people saying Black Lives Matter.

The star joined the peaceful protests and filmed the moment when everyone knelt down, sharing it on Instagram.

A sign saying “If you don’t see the problem, you are the problem” and “protect black lives” can be seen in the foreground of Billie’s clip.

Taking a knee became a widely recognized symbol of protest against police brutality and racism, and was born when American football star and civil rights activist Colin Kaepernick knelt down during the national anthem in 2016.

After the football match, he explained his decision by stating, “I will not stand up to show the pride of a flag for a country that oppresses blacks and people of color.”

Rapper Kanye West and countless other stars took to the streets to demonstrate in their hometown.

Kanye launched a university fund for Floyd’s daughter Gianna, six, and made a donation of $ 2 million (£ 1.58 million) in connection with the murders of Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor.

Halsey was spotted at protests in Los Angeles, providing first aid to injured protesters, while John Boyega shared a passionate speech about the tragedy across the pond in London.

At the end of May, five-time Grammy winner Billie used her Instagram stories to share a long rant about why the term All Lives Matter is offensive and ignorant.

“YOU CLOSE THE F ** K UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUP ????”, she writes. “No one else says your life doesn’t matter. No one says your life isn’t hard. NO ONE LITERALLY SAYS NOTHING ABOUT YOU. EVERYTHING YOU MFS DO IS FIND A MEANS TO DO EVERYTHING ON YOURSELF IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU.

The singer then asked why black people are “killed just because they are black” if all lives matter.

“Why are immigrants persecuted? Why do whites have the possibility that people of other races are not … the privilege of white f ** king? Why do white people have opportunities that people of other races don’t have?

She then urged followers and supporters of ALM to understand that the expression #BlackLivesMatter does not mean that other lives do not, it “draws attention” to the fact that society believes that ” black lives don’t count for the king. “

Stronger for the people in the back, Billie.
