from Budapest Sziget Festival announced their initial line-up, including Billie Eilish, Florence + The Machinee, Sam Fender & much more.
The five-day Freedom Island party will be held August 10-15, 2023, following the 2022 rendition that included global hit acts like Arctic Monkeys, Dua Lipa and Tame Impala. While there’s still plenty to reveal about the upcoming celebrations, a first billing preview was released today (December 1).
Billie Eilish has already cemented its headlining status with an eclectic performance at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, not to mention the success of its major world tour which included a memorable six-night sell-out run at London’s 02 Arena. In her recent sixth annual Vanity Fair interview, the Los Angeles-based singer shared that she’s already been working on her third album alongside her brother. FINISHED – the Sziget stages could be a great place to share this new material…
Florence + The Machine will deliver a performance full of powerful vocals and irresistible songwriting, including tracks from their recent fifth album, “Dance Fever.” Dork’s 4-star review describes the ambitious project as “an album stretched on its leash, dreaming of dancefloor freedom”.
French DJ David Guetta and American pop-rockers imagine Dragons complete the top of the 2023 billing.
Elsewhere, Geordie icon Sam Fender will bring the highs of their second album, “Seventeen Going Under”, to the Hungarian stage after a last-minute pullout at this year’s festival. Multifaceted Oxford Group Foals will also appear, offering a discography of raging rock anthems as well as more pop dance cuts from their latest effort, “Life Is Yours.”
YUNGBLUD and Viagra Boys will bring stormy energy with their own 2022 material, while Dork favorites Easy life, Baby Queenand Los Bitchos dazzle with their own growing discographies.
