Billie Eilish Explicitly Teases New Song “Lunch” at Coachella – D-14

Billie Eilish revealed three new songs from his upcoming album Hit me hard and soft while she was at Coachella last weekend. One track in particular has sparked many questions and theories about the lyrics.

The 22-year-old Grammy winner gave fans a sneak peek at her third studio album on Saturday (April 13). While Billie hosted the Do Labs party during the festival, she shared snippets of upcoming tracks like “Chihiro,” “L’Amour.” Of My Life” and “Lunch”.

After clips surfaced online of Billie dancing to “Lunch,” some fans were eager to break down some of the lyrics.

In the clip, Billie sings: “I could eat this girl for lunch / Yeah, she’s dancing on my tongue / Looks like she’s the one who could be the one / And I can’t get enough / I could buy you so much stuff / It’s a desire. , not a crush.

Billie’s new track features LGBTQ+ themes, making fans want to hear more. One social media user enthusiastically wrote under the viral clip: “THANK GOD REALLY QUEER BILLIE SONG,” while another added that the track is “the 2020 version of ‘I Kissed a Girl’.” Referring to Katy PerryThe iconic success of 2008.

The new songs come a few months after Billie first opened up about her own sexuality. By speaking with Variety In November 2023, Billie shared that she felt conflicted about her relationships with women.

“I never really felt like I could get along very well with girls,” she said at the time. “I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m really attracted to them.

She continued: “I have deep connections with the women in my life, the friends in my life, the family in my life. I am physically attracted to them. But I am also very intimidated by them, by their beauty and their presence.

Listeners who already love the track should be excited to learn that Billie is filming a music video for the song! The “Happier Than Ever” singer also revealed to Apple Music that she is directing the upcoming video.

As for the inspiration behind the song and the rest of the album, Billie explained that the new project has a lot of sentimental value for her and her brother/musical collaborator. Finnéas.

“What Finneas and I told a few people when we started playing it for people was that we kind of made the album as if someone had said, ‘I want you to make a album and no one will hear it.’ ‘…We made an album without really thinking – or much – about how other people [would perceive it],” she explained. “So I found myself, when I play it for people, I’m kind of like, ‘You weren’t supposed to hear that.'”
