Billie Eilish contributes handwritten lyrics to a new fundraising effort launched by Annie Lennox of Eurythmic.
The Circle Music Icons Auction initiative will support Lennox’s nonprofit The Circle, which aims to challenge gender bias.
Eilish’s handwritten lyrics for her song “Your Power” will be among the items available for auction, along with handwritten lyrics from artists including Brandi Carlile, Alicia’s Keys, Angelique Kidjo and Lennox herself.
“I have long believed that music can build bridges and bring people together,” Lennox wrote in an Instagram post. “It’s wonderful to see these phenomenal female artists stand alongside women and girls around the world facing and fighting against gender-based violence.”
The ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)’ artist continues, “Auction proceeds will allow the Circle to support our local partners who help women and girls build lives free from abuse and fear, and to advocate for long-term change to end the violence that will affect 1 in 3 women in her lifetime.
Bidding will be open until December 5.
