After nearly two years of waiting, Billie Eilish and RosalíaThe long-awaited collaboration of “Lo Vas A Olvidar” has finally arrived.
On Thursday, the duo released a haunting video for the new single ahead of its feature film in a new episode of Euphoria.

Billie Eilish first revealed that she has a collaboration with Rosalía in the works in 2019. Although she didn’t give too many details to Annie mac, Eilish shared that working with Rosalía was a great experience.
“She knows what she wants, it’s very refreshing,” she said. “I was like, ‘Wow, you’re the only person I’ve met that’s really like that.’ She’s the cutest girl, oh my god.
In fact, the duo wrote the majority of the song in January 2019. In a recent interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, Eilish revealed why they decided to sing “Lo Vas A Olvidar” mainly in Spanish.
“I mean, it’s the longest lead on earth. Well, because we wrote most of the song in January 2019, ”she says. “I actually think it’s so beautiful, and it’s not something that I really did. Rosalia opened up a little channel in me that I had never tried before. Much of it is in Spanish, which in my opinion is very important. I remember when we were writing the song, I remember she said something about “this should be in English”. And I was like, ‘No, no, no. It should be in Spanish. It is so beautiful.’

Eilish goes on to say that much of the music she loves is not in English. So this song was a great opportunity for her to collaborate on something that she had never done before.
“I have always liked music that is not in English,” she continues. “I love tons of music in languages I don’t even speak. I have been really intrigued by this my whole life. There are so many Russian songs that I love and Spanish and French and… so that was the most important thing for this one. And she told me what the lyrics meant, and then it meant even more. I said to myself: ‘It’s beautiful, the delivery is beautiful and the emotion is beautiful.’ “
Now “Lo Vas A Olvidar”, which translates to “you will forget it”, has finally arrived. On Thursday, Eilish and Rosalía unveiled a moody new video for the single that evokes the same emotions felt throughout the heartwarming collaboration.

“Lo Vas A Olvidar” marks the first new music to arrive from Eilish in 2021. Last year she released a carefree video for “So I Am” which followed “No Time To Die” and “My Future” .
His collaboration with Rosalía kicks off what could be a great year for Eilish. In December, Eilish apparently confirmed that his next musical era was officially on the way. In addition, his next documentary The world is a little blurry is expected to arrive on February 26. Last month, viewers got their first glimpse of what to expect from the documentary in its first trailer.
Eilish spent a good chunk of 2020 working on her next album with her brother FINISHED. She previously revealed that she had no plans to release the LP during the coronavirus pandemic. However, she shared that fans shouldn’t expect to hear songs about the COVID-19 crisis on the new album.
“It’s not like we’re doing 40s songs, we’re just in a different mindset than we would be otherwise,” she said. “And that’s how it all goes. It’s the butterfly effect, it’s like you didn’t do this three years ago, maybe you won’t do it three years later. It’s just like that. At the same time, it’s the biggest time off I’ve ever had in my life, first of all. And especially since it all started five years ago.

Although her next album doesn’t have a release date yet, Eilish can’t wait for fans to finally hear it when the time is right.
“I’m really, really happy that we were able to make the things that we make,” she said. “And I can’t wait for you to hear that shit.” I can’t wait for the world to hear it. I am very enthusiastic and optimistic for the future. “
