It looks like Matthew Tyler Vorce is the “bad guy” now.
Vorce confirmed on Tuesday that he and Billie Eilish have called it quits amid rumors circulating on social media that he cheated on her.
“No one cheated on anyone,” he posted on his Instagram Story. “Relationships end. Simple as that. Rumoring and LYING on the internet is dangerous.
The actor also hit back at Eilish Stans who flooded his Instagram with cruel and accusatory comments, writing about his story on a movie poster for ‘Men’, “The fact that thousands of people take time out of their day to write the most heinous things about someone they will never know, messages are the most cowardly thing you can do.
“Live your own life,” he added.
Eilish hasn’t publicly commented on the split, and reps for the singer didn’t immediately return our request for comment.
Page Six posted exclusive photos of the “Happier Than Ever” singer, 20, and Vorce, 30, getting together on a coffee outing in April 2021. Vorce’s attachment to Eilish meant he was scrutinized by his fans, which resulted in them resurfacing his racist social media posts. Shortly after, he apologized for the comments.
“I want to apologize for the things I’ve written on social media in the past. The language I used was hurtful and irresponsible and I understand how offensive those words are,” he said. wrote in June 2021. “Whether it’s lyrics, a quote, or just me being stupid, it doesn’t matter.”
“I’m ashamed and deeply sorry that I used them in any context. It’s not how I was raised and it’s not what I stand for,” he said. he continued. “I shouldn’t have used that language in the first place and I won’t use it again. I’m so sorry for the hurt I caused.
He concluded: “I take full responsibility and continue to hold myself accountable for my actions.”
