Before becoming a mega pop star with multiple Grammy Awards on her shelf, Billie Eilish gave a private home concert to Oscar-winning actors Jared Leto and Leonardo DiCaprio. Not much.
Sure The Late Late Show with James Corden On Tuesday night, actor and musician Jared Leto revealed that he quietly discovered Eilish and his brother Finneas before the two became the superstar music duo they are today.
“I met them through Emma Ludbrook and Tom Windish, I believe. They weren’t signed, and I thought maybe I would try to sign them, they were incredibly talented and just people. Music is one thing, but I think they’re just incredibly smart, really empathetic, just really good people, and I like them a lot, ”Leto said.
Eilish and Finneas are nominated for multiple Grammy Awards this year, following the sweep of Eilish’s four major awards in 2020. However, Leto still remembers when they were just two promising musicians with a bright future.
Leto shared, “At one point they played at my house. I had dinner for 12 people for a bit and said, ‘Hey, are you going to come and play some songs? “and they were, like, ‘Yeah sure’ and they came up with a Guitar Center PA and played the most heartbreaking music with, like, you know, that shouldn’t have sounded that good, that it was impossible that it sounded good. “
Leto concluded, stating: “I remember Leo DiCaprio was there and a few other people and they just thought, ‘How did you find these people and, for example, who are they? “Everyone was just jaws on the ground, 12 people max at my place in the hills. Yeah, just great people. I’m big fans too.”
