Beware, Australians, a Michelin-starred chef (and I mean STARS) has opened an all-vegan restaurant in Bondi, inspired by his many years of cooking for celebrities. I’m not even vegan but I will absolutely be planting my roots in this joint ASAP.
Scott Findlay is the mastermind behind the new joint named Flave, and he’s professionally cooked to taste Beyonce, Rihanna, Tina turner, Elton john, Rod stewart and Pink. Yep, that’s a pretty impressive resume.
Flave is 100 percent plant-based and primarily gluten-free, and items are reportedly between $ 13.50 and $ 24. So even if you will eat like a celebrity, you won’t be spending a lot of money. Praise Beyoncé, because I am Beybroké.
And the best part is that the dishes are designed entirely around the favorite celebrities of the Findlay era behind the (probably) golden kitchen counters of the stars.
For example, the Wadda Jerk Bowl on the menu is inspired by Findlay’s days as Rihanna’s personal chef.
“It was a dish I was making for Rihanna at the time. It was one of her favorite dishes from her hometown,” Findlay told the Daily Telegraph.
“I even went to Barbados and learned how to make an authentic and proper marinade.”
And the Ballsy Bowl (quite the name) is inspired by the seven (7 !!!) years Findlay spent cooking for the Beatles. Paul McCartney.
“I actually designed this for Paul in 2004, but the dish has evolved over the years,” he said.
“When I’m done with him, his wife Nancy asked for the recipe but they’ve gotten even better since then.
Beyoncé’s favorite dish, however, won’t be on the menu, as Findlay says it will. never reveal the secret of her favorite snack. Come on man, keep us posted !!
“Working with Beyoncé is everyone’s dream. She’s almost superhuman – except she has cravings like the rest of us mere mortals,” Findlay said.
“She would often sneak into the kitchen at odd hours and ask for her favorite secret dish, which I have never disclosed to this day and never will.
“Naturally, I was happy to prepare it for her each time and I appreciated the advice she gave me to do it just for her. I have to say it’s nice enough to have a secret. underground culinary with one of the most famous women in the world!
Beyoncé dish or not, I can’t wait to get my hands on some of these iconic celebrity dishes. I’ll settle for Rihanna’s.
