Lyric chanel, a young cancer patient who caught the attention of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and other celebrities, lost her battle with the deadly disease at the age of 13.

ABC 13 reports that Lyric has battled brain cancer and anaplastic ependymoma for two years. In November 2020, Lyric had surgery at Texas Medical Center to remove a tumor, but unfortunately the tumor grew back and spread to various parts of her brain within two months. Doctors informed the family that there was little else they could do to save Lyric’s life.
Lyric and his family documented his journey on Instagram, where his platform became an inspiration. His page @ Yhung.Chanel has attracted over 500,000 followers offering support and joy in his comments section. The update on his health situation was shared on Wednesday.
“I just heard from Dr that Lyric is dying and has only days to live…. These are the hardest words to hear, ”said the Instagram legend.
Houston rapper Trae the truth learned Lyric’s story and immediately joined him in helping. The rapper and Lyric grew up sharing a bond, as he often referred to her as his “niece,” despite the lack of a genetic relationship. He shared an Instagram post for Lyric after hearing the heartbreaking news.
“I needed me and hopped on the first flight… .. I promised I would get to U and I did…. I don’t care what the doctors said, God has the last word so… Until then just know that you are fighting side by side with you…. I love you. “The Texan rapper wrote on Instagram after hearing the news that she had been given days to live.” I appreciate that everyone is praying to raise her… She is still fighting hard. “

While Lyric documented her cancer experience, she also expressed her joy. Thanks to her Instagram account, she became a fan of super Beyoncé and often uploaded videos singing the lyrics to her favorite songs. Queen Bey herself has seen Lyric and has reached out with heartfelt messages and gifts on several occasions.
theGrio reported in September 2020, Lyric received a flower arrangement from the “Crazy In Love” singer as a surprise in a heartfelt viral video. The bouquet included white roses, orchids and a special message signed by Beyoncé.
“Honey, honey, I can see the stars all the way down here, I can smell the sun whenever you’re near.” I was so moved to see how these lyrics inspired you, not as much as you inspired me. In October, Lyric received a coveted Ivy Park box from Beyoncé containing fall release merchandise. theGrio said she had received the full line of clothing, footwear and accessories.
“Thanks a lot @beyonce, it couldn’t have come at a better time,” she captioned one of the videos showcasing her new gear according to the report. “[I] I just got home from chemotherapy and look at the surprise that awaited. I love you so much”
Lyric was also a fan of the Bronx rapper. Cardi B who reached out in December to offer kind words. According to Atlanta Black Star, artist “Bodak Yellow” shared Lyric’s story on his Instagram platform.
“I’ve stolen and I’m checking some DMs. A few people have sent me this DM already on this girl, a very strong girl named lyric,” Cardi said in her Instagram story according to the report. “She’s from Houston and she has cancer and has had brain surgery about four times.”
She continued, “I have a big smile on my face to see how funny you are, how pretty you are, how you put your outfits together, how you do your nails while you fight. [cancer]She shared. “I think I’m going to have a hard time and other people probably think they are having a hard time. […] It definitely motivates me in everything I go through and I hope people will look at your page and be motivated. “
Funeral arrangements have not been announced by the family at this time. A tribute video was shared on his Instagram page.
