Fans were buzzing with rumors surrounding the release of a new album and a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. While the Sphere rumors have yet to be confirmed, during Super Bowl LVIII, Beyoncé herself confirmed it. New album, Act II.
Arrested development And Veep star Tony Hale first appeared in Verizon’s Super Bowl teaser ads, filled with specific references that fans often associate with the multi-Grammy Award singer: lemons and a silver horse. If you listened closely, the teasers also included a very brief clip of his music.
During the Super Bowl, Verizon’s one-minute commercial aired: Hale hands Beyoncé his phone on set, and he casually mentions how powerful Verizon’s 5G internet service is — “I bet you can’t beat that,” he disputes. Accepting the challenge, towards the end of the commercial, Beyoncé is seen leaving in a rocket saying: “OK, they’re ready. Let go of the new music.”
Following the publicity, fans took to social media to search for more details. THE Originally from Houston then confirmed with a video on Instagram that the second part of “Renaissance”, titled Act IIwill be released on March 29, 2024.
The video posted on her Instagram account and website shows a crowd in a desert, looking at a Beyoncé billboard, with the words “Texas! Hold them. The video ends with “act ii. 3.29.” The music video also featured Beyoncé’s new song, “Texas Holdem,» which dropped after the Verizon ad. The Beyhive was later enhanced with another single on Instagram, titled “16 cars.”
