As if performing a live concert for the first time in four years wasn’t enough to make Beyoncé fans’ lives this weekend, the “Break My Soul” singer sweetened the deal by incorporating her daughter Blue Ivy Carter into the great occasion.
It all came down to the big reveal of Dubai’s new hotel, Atlantis The Royal, on January 21, where Beyoncé performed an unforgettable hour-long show to mark the occasion (POPSUGAR was also present at the event) . While Queen Bey’s solo performances of iconic songs like “XO,” “Halo,” “Beautiful Liar,” “Crazy in Love” and more were enough to blow fans away, it was her performance of the Grammy award winning song “Brown Skin Girl” featuring Blue Ivy which was the real highlight of the night.
In clips shared by fans on Twitter, Blue can be seen on stage dressed in red next to her mother (who was dressed in all yellow). As the mother-daughter duo sang the song together and swayed to the beat, at one point Blue broke out a choreography before Beyoncé tenderly runs her hand through her braids. Blue and Beyonce even kissed sweetly as Beyoncé sang the lyrics, “She mind her own business and loves her height / Gold like 24k, okay” while gazing fondly at her daughter.
Fans on Twitter were overwhelmed by the magnificent performance and took to Twitter to say the same. “BLUE IVY SINGING ‘BROWN SKIN GIRL’ WITH BEYONCÉ SOMEONE RECORD I’M BEGGING YOU”, a fan wrote. “Blue Ivy hits the choreography”, another wrote In admiration. “Need the whole ‘brown skin girl’ video pleeeeaaaseeeee”, a fan begged.
If the internet had anything to complain about, it was that the audience didn’t record the entire performance from enough angles for those who couldn’t attend the concert in Dubai to really appreciate it.
Y’all got DIL from about 10 different angles but two clips from Brown Skin Girl and nothing from Otherside 😭

To be fair, given the night’s no-camera policy, the fans in attendance did their best for their fellow Beyoncé fans around the world. Hopefully fans will soon be treated to a full performance of “Brown Skin Girl” with Beyoncé and Blue!
