five hundred and ten of a series. Welcome to this week’s roundup of the best apps, games, and extensions released for Windows 10 and 11 on the Microsoft Store and elsewhere in the past seven days.

Windows 11 2022 Update has been out for a while and Microsoft has already confirmed several issues plaguing some users. One of the issues affected gaming performance on Nvidia-powered systems. Nvidia has released an updated driver that addresses these performance issues.

New Windows Apps

ESET Internet Security / ESET Smart Security Premium

Security company ESET released two of its security products for Windows on the Microsoft Store this week.

Both products require a subscription and are aimed at home devices. The products are available for Windows, Mac and Android, and protect devices against malware, ransomware and phishing, and protect network and smart devices.

ESET Smart Security Premium includes data encryption, password management and Liveguard protection against new threats.

WindowBlinds 11 Beta

Stardock 11 blinds

Stardock this week released a public beta of its WindowsBlinds 11 Windows personalization and customization software.

The new version fully supports Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system and includes support for new features such as automatic dark mode, support for taskbar widgets and explorer tabs files, etc.

Notable Updates

MSEdgeRedirect 0.7.0.2: Microsoft Edge Redirect Tool Update comes with important fixes.

Notepad++ 8.4.6: Update to popular text editor fixes security issue and option to set tab colors.

SpeculationControl 1.0.17: Microsoft’s PowerShell script detects if Specter and Meltdown protections are installed on the system.
