Former New York City police commissioner Bernard Kerik on Tuesday called on Governor Andrew Cuomo to intervene and take control of the riots and lootings in New York instead of blaming the “incompetent” mayor from New York, Bill de Blasio.
“He [Cuomo] specifically criticized the NYPD, “Kerik told Tucker Carlson Tonight.” Well, if the NYPD didn’t do its job and the mayor didn’t do its job, New York would burn. Where are you? Where’s the New York State Police?
“Why haven’t you been involved from the start? What do you do other than talk?” Kerik continued. “This is not a competition for criticism. We already know that de Blasio is incompetent, in my opinion. We know that he is a super left radical. We know that he sympathizes with a number of these protesters … “
BLASIO CUOMO SLAMS HANDLING OF RIOTS
Kerik reacted to Cuomo’s statement earlier Tuesday in which he described De Blasio’s handling of the crisis as “shame” and noted that he had the power to “move” the mayor – although he said that the reluctant did not want it at this point.
As New York faces another night of upheaval despite 8 p.m. curfew, Kerik told Carlson he supports legitimate protests, but added that “the second peaceful protest becomes violent, the second, the protest is finished.
“Everyone must go there, and the police and the police must do everything in their power to move them or lock them up.”
Focusing his attention on media coverage of racist incidents involving the police, Kerik defended the police and criticized the left-wing media for misrepresenting the frequency of these events.
“I’m going to give you a set of numbers that the mainstream media refuse to listen to or watch,” Kerik told Carlson, quoting figures compiled by the Washington Post.

“Police officers were involved in the fatal shootings 1,004 times,” said Kerik. “Forty-one of them were unarmed. The police shot unarmed people. If you listen to the rhetoric,” each of these people was black “. You know what? It’s a lie. C is completely false. It is not true.

“Nineteen whites, unarmed, were shot dead by the police last year. Nine were black. You know what? Everyone’s talking about black people who were unarmed and killed by the police,” number is systemic. It’s scandalous! It’s crazy! “Last year, 89 police officers were killed in this country,” said Kerik. “Nobody talks about it.”
